Opera 10 akhirnya meningalkan versi Beta dengan Merilis Opera 10.0 Release Candidate 2. Opera 10.0 RC 2 ini berada dalam keadaan dalam lebih stabil ketika digunakan dan terdapat beberapa perbaikan dari versi Beta sebelumnya. Mungkin perubahan yang paling jelas dalam versi RC ini adalah Icon Aplikasi baru yang dirancang oleh Oleg Melnychuk A full-featured Internet browser, Opera includes pop-up blocking, tabbed browsing, integrated searches, and advanced functions like Opera’s groundbreaking E-mail program, RSS Newsfeeds and IRC chat.
